Who We Are

Germinal Press is a new venture in Australia's publishing landscape. While our origins are humble, we aim to publish the most interesting, diverse and thought-provoking titles in the country. We also want to attract a new generation of emerging writers, giving voice to work that makes readers see the world in a different and more illuminating light. The idea of establishing Germinal Press and introducing a series of titles such as The Last Word was driven by spiralling domestic book prices and a desire to publish books that provoke, intrigue, enlighten and entertain. We want to shake things up.
